ResidencyCAS provides public access to historical aggregate application data across participating specialties, giving applicants, advisors, medical schools, and residency programs a shared view of prior ResidencyCAS cycles. These reports are designed to support advising, recruitment planning, and specialty exploration by making key information easier to find, reference, and discuss.
About the data
- A ResidencyCAS cycle is defined as early June through May 31 each year.
- Data is not available for the currently active cycle; only prior complete ResidencyCAS cycles are included in these reports.
- Reported data is only for the main match cycle and does not include activity from the Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP).
- Additional data points and specialty reports will be added over time as they become available.
- For questions about specific data elements or specialty-level details, you are encouraged to contact the specialty organizations directly as they are the owners of their respective specialty data and can guide you on its proper use.
